SMASHBURGER – Smashburger is a rapidly growing 130+/- unit chain based in Denver, CO.  Kaplan Real Estate Co., Inc. has been retained by Smashburger and its local franchisee to source the best possible locations to satisfy Smashburger’s expansion in and around the St. Louis area.  To date, two units are open – one in St. Charles, MO in the Bogey Hills Plaza located at Zumbehl Rd. and I – 70, and one in Chesterfield, MO in the Chesterfield Commons center, located on Clarkson Rd., just south of Chesterfield Mall.

TILTED KILT – Tilted Kilt is a rapidly growing pub / sports bar concept that is expanding in the St. Louis market.  Kaplan Real Estate Co., Inc. has been retained by Tilted Kilt and its local franchisee to source the best possible locations!  The first Kaplan Tilted Kilt deal is under construction in an end cap, 8,400+/- sq. ft. space of the Country Club Plaza Shopping Center on Hwy 94 in St. Charles, MO.

FREDDY’S FROZEN CUSTARD & STEAKBURGERS – Freddy’s is expanding to the St. Louis market, and Freddy’s and its franchisee have engaged Kaplan Real Estate to find free standing or end cap – drive thru locations for its frozen custard / hamburger concept.

  • Kingman, Arizona -- David Wright represented Landlord in a lease of 3,500+/- sf space for Sukakra Sushi & Grill in Kingman Crossing, located at the signalized intersection of Stockton Hill Rd. and Airway Ave.

Kaplan Real Estate Co., Inc. – St. Louis, MO:

  • Kaplan Real Estate Co., Inc. represented Craft Restaurants Ltd. And its nationally renowned Chef-owner Gerard Craft, in the lease of 6,800 sf in Centene Plaza in Clayton, MO.  Craft will move Niche, his highly-rated restaurant now located in St. Louis’ Benton Park neighborhood, and has crated a new concept, Pastaria by Niche, that will occupy an adjoining space, and feature handcrafted pastas, fire-roasted meats and wood oven pizzas.

Centene Plaza is a new fully leased, 17-story, 485,000 square foot building comprised of office and retail space. 

  • Kaplan Real Estate Co., Inc. represented the Landlord, Robert Kaplan Trust, in the lease of a free standing former Taco Bell restaurant, to Mr. & Mrs. Butler, d/b/a Lil’ Mickey’s Barbeque located at 1020 Cave Springs Blvd., St. Peters, Missouri.

·         Kaplan represented the Landlord, Meyer Properties, in the lease of the 6,400sf former Little Italy restaurant in Fairview Heights. After remodeling it opened as Agostino’s Restaurant. Operated by several members of the Gabriele family, most of whom have operated successful Italian establishments in the St. Louis area for decades, Agostino’s is the only family-owned Italian restaurant in the Fairview Heights area.

  • Kaplan represented the landlord, RKT in the lease of 18,820 sq. ft. in the I – 44 Showroom Center located in the St. Louis suburb of Fenton, MO to Midwest Institute.  Midwest Institute is a long time established teaching institution specializing in veterinary assistance, nursing assistance, medical assistance, heating ventilation and air-conditioning repair training and other curriculums.  Only 1,200 sq. ft remains available at the I – 44 Showroom Center which means this center which is situated across Interstate 44 from the two former Chrysler plants that were shuttered a few years ago is now 98+% leased!
     
  • Kaplan represented the landlord, RKT in the lease of 10,000 sq. ft. to Dollar General located at 4140 Woodson Rd. in the Woodson Hills Shopping Center.  This deal will involve the re-development and re-anchoring of this 1950’s vintage Woodson Terrace, MO shopping center with Dollar General taking part of a former 23,000 sq. ft. grocery anchor space thus allowing opportunity for additional space to be leased of up to approximately 13,000 sq. ft. to another anchor tenant.  Small shop leasing opportunities exist as well.
     
  • Kaplan represented the tenant, Smash STL, LLC in the lease of 2,500 sq. ft. of space in the Bogey Hills Plaza shopping center, St. Charles, MO for the opening of the first Smash Burger in the St. Louis metropolitan area.  Kaplan also represented Smash STL, LLC in the lease of 2,300 sq. ft. of space in the Chesterfield Crossing shopping center, Chesterfield, MO for the opening of another Smash Burger.  Kaplan continues to look for additional locations for opening approximately 12 Smash Burgers in the St. Louis metro area over the next few years.
  • David Wright of Kaplan Real Estate Co., Inc. and Eric Marcus of ESM Realty represented the owner, Robert Kaplan Trust, in the sale of a 4,889 SF commercial building on 1675 Greenbrook Boulevard in Hanover Park, Illinois.
     
  • David Wright represented the seller, in the sale of a Jack in the Box ground lease located on Mexico Road in St. Peters , Missouri.    
  • David Wright of Kaplan Real Estate Co., Inc. represented the sellers, Michael Kaplan, Julie Salomon and Elizabeth Wright in the sale of a 50,000 square foot parcel of land and a 4,600 square foot building located at 286 Glen Ellyn Road., Bloomingdale, Illinois.
     
  • David Wright of Kaplan Real Estate Co., Inc. represented Hooters of America, Inc. in the lease of 8,667 +/- square foot of restaurant space in Kiener Plaza on Chestnut Street in downtown St. Louis, Missouri.
     
     
  • Kaplan Real Estate Co., Inc. represented Quizno's in the lease of 1,600 +/- square feet in the South Town shopping center located in Festus, Missouri.
     
  • David Wright of Kaplan Real Estate Co., Inc. represented the lessor, DOT COM Properties, LLC in the leasing and development of a 14,820 square foot free standing Walgreens in Kirksville, Missouri.
     
  • David Wright of Kaplan Real Estate Co., Inc. represented the buyer, Realty Holding Company, Inc. in the purchase of the Budget Inn Motel situated on a 2.25 acre parcel of land for the development of a 14,820 square foot Walgreens in Moberly, Missouri.
     
  • David Wright of Kaplan Real Estate Co., Inc. represented the Robert Kaplan Trust in the leasing and development of a 33,000 +/- square foot free standing building for Grainger Company in Fenton, Missouri.
     
     
  • Kaplan Real Estate represented the Seller, Margaret T. Imo in the Sale of a 1,566 square foot free standing building on a 0.39 acre site located at 3239 Lemay Ferry Road, St. Louis, MO to MBR Mehlville, LLC.

  • Kaplan Real Estate represented the seller, AK Associates in the sale of a 32,000 square feet free standing Schnucks Grocery located at 800 S. Duchesne in St. Charles, Missouri.
     
  • Kaplan Real Estate and its affiliate, Innovative Realty represented Quizno's Subs in the lease of 1,400 square feet of retail space located in the Erie Marketplace in Beachwood, Ohio.
     
  • Kaplan Real Estate represented the tenant, Panera, LLC (St. Louis Bread Company) in the lease of 4,853 square feet of retail space located in Grasso Plaza in Affton, Missouri.
     
  • Kaplan Real Estate Co., Inc. represented the landlord, Robert Kaplan Trust in the lease of 60,000 ± sq. ft. of ground to Jack in the Box at S. Hwy Drive and Gilsinn Ln., Fenton, MO - for a free standing combination, Jack in the Box / Quickstuff convenience store operation.

4.  Regions Bank: Kaplan Real Estate has been selected to represent Regions Bank in its branch expansion throughout St. Louis and surrounding areas.

5.  Fado Irish Pub: Kaplan Real Estate has been engaged as the exclusive real estate agent representing Fado Irish Pub in locating sites in and around the St. Louis metropolitan area.

6.  Harbor Freight Tools: Kaplan Real Estate Co., Inc. has been assigned the right to represent Harbor Freight Tools looking for approximately 15,000 sq. ft. sites in the St. Louis metro area.

7.  Quizno's Subs: Kaplan Real Estate represented Quizno's in multiple markets throughout Missouri and Illinois and parts of Oklahoma and Arkansas. Through network affiliates, Kaplan also represented Quizno's in Western New York State (Innovative Realty - Penny Cipola) and Indiana (Midland Atlantic Partners - Jefferey Hubley).


8.  Hooters Restaurant: Kaplan Real Estate is the exclusive representative of Hooters in the St. Louis, Missouri Metropolitan and
surrounding area.

9.  Golden Corral: Kaplan Real Estate Co., Inc. has been engaged to assist Golden Corral franchises in locating sites for Golden Corral locations in the St. Louis metro area.

10.  Houlihan’s Restaurants: Kaplan Real Estate has been selected as the exclusive agent to represent Houlihan’s Restaurants in its St Louis expansion.
